Rondo records first triple-double, Celtics pound Pacers
Los Angeles - Rajon Rondo recorded his first career triple-double, and the Boston Celtics extracted a measure of revenge.
Rondo had 16 points, 13 rebounds and a personal-best 17 assists, as the Celtics rolled to their 10th consecutive victory, 114-96 over the visiting Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.
"It's not easy to do," Rondo said. "I've been so close a lot of games, and to finally get one, I'm excited about it. And most important, we got the win."
Ray Allen scored a game-high 31 points, Kevin Garnett contributed 26 and 14 rebounds for the league-best Celtics (18-2) whose streak is the longest since last season.
"We're tough to beat when we're like that" Garnett said. "It starts with out point guard and he was amazing. It seems like there were like three Rondos out there tonight."

The Pacers were coming off a stunning buzzer-beating 118-117 victory over the mighty LA Lakers on Tuesday night. However, they couldn't make it back-to-back wins over last year's NBA Finalists as the Celtics outclassed them.
"What went wrong? Everything," said Pacers Marquis Daniels, who finished with 14 points. "We didn't do a lot of things right tonight. It was a totally different game from when we played them in Indiana. Boston's a great team and you've got to give them credit."
