Smartphone maker, Research In Motion (RIM) might launch its Blackberry Touch 9900 smartphone in the UK in august.

According to online retailer, Play, the smartphone will be launched on the 12th of August at £519.99 as the retail price. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 will feature a physical keypad and a touch-screen display.

The smartphone runs on BlackBerry 7 operating system and is powered by a 1.2GHz processor. Meanwhile, Amazon has already placed the device up for pre-order with a launch date of the 15th of September.

RIM has not confirmed the launch date of the samrtphone, which has sold well in the US market, in the UK market.
