Renault Laguna Coupe in showrooms after Paris debut
Paris - Only weeks after celebrating its world debut at the Paris Motor Show, the Renault Laguna Coupe goes on sale in Europe at a starting price of 30,300 euros (40,715 dollars).
Renault is offering the choice of three petrol and three diesel engines in the range 110 kW/150 hp to 175 kW/238 hp.
The 3.5-litre V6 petrol and 3.0 V6 turbo diesel engines equipped with six-speed automatic transmission are new and will in future also be available in other models, the manufacturer announced.
The 175 kW/238 hp engine is listed with an acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds with a top speed of 245 km/h. Fuel consumption is 10 litres per 100 kilometres which translates to a carbon dioxide emission figure of 238 grams per kilometre.
The V6 models have the option of four-wheel steering for improved low-speed manoeuvring and high-speed stability.
The top-end engines are distinguished by chrome-trimmed tailpipes. The taillights come in slim red LED lighting.
The interior of the upper end models have brushed-aluminium trip from the doors to the dashboard with the doors finished in the same material as the upholstery.
Renault is also introducing a new audio generation with a 3D sound system tuned specifically to the interior materials in the Laguna Coupe. A Bluetooth telephone system and audio streaming are available as options. (dpa)
