India to open two more consulates in US

Manmohan Singh, Sarah PalinWashington/New York, Sept. 26 : India will open two more consulates in the United States as part of a bilateral and diplomatic exercise to enhance existing ties between the two countries.

Disclosing this to the Indian media team accompanying Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on his ten-day visit to the United States and France, Foreign Secretary Shiv Shanker Menon said that the consulates would be opened in Seattle in Chicago and in Atlanta in Georgia.

New innovative device will boost cars’ fuel efficiency 20pc

Washington, September 26 : A Temple University researcher has come up with a simple device that can help improve automobiles’ fuel efficiency by 20 per cent.

Rongjia Tao, Chair of Temple''s Physics Department, has revealed that the small device harnesses a power supply from a vehicle’s battery to create an electric field that thins fuel, so that smaller droplets are injected into the engine.

He says that the process, in turn, leads to more efficient and cleaner combustion than a standard fuel injector.
