London, Oct 9 : US Republican presidential candidate John McCain has once again earned himself the ire of musicians, and this time it is the Foo Fighters who have slammed him for the unauthorised use of their song.

McCain has been using their 1997 track ‘My Hero’ as a theme song for his campaign, and the musicians are furious at his apparent disrespect for intellectual property.

London, Oct. 9 : Muslim extremists are reportedly grooming kids as young as eight years to spread hate in schools, a report says.

The fanatics are using youngsters to hand out leaflets preaching violence to their classmates.

The alert was raised after teachers caught a pupil hailing the 7/7 London bombers as “martyrs” in a playground.

Other kids have had material inciting holy war or attacks on other ethnic communities.

The dangerous propaganda circulating in class was revealed as ministers launched a five million pound blitz on school gate extremism.

London, Oct 9 : In an attempt to get schools and colleges to tackle the problem of teenagers being radicalised or indoctrinated by terrorists, the UK Government is expected to announce a guidance strategy “Plan Together To Be Safe” whereby school and college students will be taught about terrorism and violent extremism.

According to an estimate, the scheme would cost the government around 4.5 million pounds.

According to timesonline. com, Schools Secretary Ed Balls will issue the guidance on how schools should approach the subject of tackling terrorism.

Earlier, the Government had issued advice for universities on how to prevent the spread of extremism on campus.

London, Oct 9 : The UK Government has reportedly decided to give fresh beddings and clothes to Muslim prisoners after their cells are combed by sniffer dogs, because they consider the animals unclean and often the dogs’ saliva gets dropped on the beddings.

The new jail policy emerged after an illegal immigrant awaiting deportation at Dover prison asked its bosses to clarify the rules on sniffer dog searches. In reply to the letter in prisoners’ magazine “Inside Time”, the British Ministry of Justice’s Rosemary Hanna wrote: “We are aware that if dog saliva comes in contact with the clothing or religious artefacts of a Muslim, it renders these items defiled. As such, a prisoner must be allowed to change clothing if this occurs.”
