UK launch of controversial Prophet Mohammed novel postponed

Prophet MohammadLondon, Oct. 10 : The launch of controversial novel The Jewel of Medina about the Prophet Mohammed has been postponed.

Its American writer, Sherry Jones, has also delayed a three-day publicity tour of the UK for her book scheduled for next week, reports The Telegraph.

The novel focuses on Mohammed''s relationship with his child bride Aisha but has been dismissed by one academic as "soft core pornography".

3,000 yr old Stonehenge toy like a light in an aura of gloom

London, Oct 10 : A carved toy hedgehog, estimated to be between 2,500 and 3,000 years old, is being hailed as one of the most important finds ever made at Stonehenge.

According to a report in The Sun, The 2½ inch long artifact was found in the burial plot of a three-year-old child.

It was resting halfway down the tot’s remains, leading archaeologists to believe the youngster may have been buried clutching the toy in its hand.

The “Hengehog”, roughly shaped from chalk and complete with four stumpy legs, is the first piece of art depicting a recognisable object ever found at the 5,000-year-old site on Salisbury Plain, Wilts.

According to Mindlab International, the balance of privacy, pressure, time and temperature in the shower all need to be carefully moderated to create the perfect shower experience.

The team led by neuropsychologist David Lewis developed the formula for Cheltenham-based manufacturers Mira Showers.

Man kept wife prisoner at home for 50 yearsLondon, Oct 10 : A woman in Italy was kept a prisoner in her house by her husband for 50 years, it has been revealed.

According to police officials, the wife, now in her 70s, said she was allowed to leave home only when he accompanied her.

Her jealous husband even banned her from watching TV or seeing their two grown-up children, she said. He beat her and locked all doors and windows whenever he went out.

The woman’s ordeal began the day they wed in 1958.

She emerged when she was admitted to hospital with heart trouble in Trento, Italy.
