Preity Zinta's plans with Kings XI PunjabThe superstar bubbly actress of bollywood, Preity Zinta, who also happens to own Kings XI Punjab of the Indian Premier League (IPL), is planning to give a chance to promising cricketers at the grass-root level.

A cricket seminar and a T-20 tournament would be held by her team in Chandigarh and Mohali where teams from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir will participate.

Priety informed, "My aim is to promote cricket at the grass-root level and to nurture new talent. I also want everyone involved to have fun."

Punjab Governor General (retired) S F Rodrigues administered the oath of office and secrecy to Singh at a ceremony here.

Several senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders were present on the occassion.

They included BJP president Rajnath Singh and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundra Raje Scindia.

This is probably the first instance when a father-son duo will be sharing the top two posts of a state India.
