New Delhi, Apr 14 : Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore has a designer pet dog.

The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star lets her yellow Labrador-Chow mix pet Flossie customise her jeans, reports China Daily.

She lets Flossie rip up her new pairs of denim trousers to give them a fashionably distressed appearance.

“She lets Flossie chew on them and rip them up a bit and then she throws them in the washing machine. She thinks the look perfect! Not too calculated," said a source.

Barrymore shares a special bond with her pet pooch.

New Delhi, Apr 14 : Hugh Jackman says he falls more in love with his wife Deborra Lee-Furness every day.

The ''Australia'' actor, who has been married to Deborra for 13 years, credits her and their two children, Oscar, eight, and Ava, three, with keeping him sane as he becomes more successful, reports The China Daily.

Jackman said: "My wife Deb, and kids Oscar and Ava, keep me grounded. When I won the Sexiest Man Alive award, Oscar said, ''What, you?''

New Delhi, Apr 14 : Hollywood actress Kirsten Stewart has revealed that her Twilight co-actor Rob Pattinson was so engrossed in his character while filming that he actually proposed to her.

She said that Rob was so much into his character that he made himself believe that he actually loved Kirsten, reports the China Daily.

"Rob is very mysterious and very intense - and totally crazy. He proposed to me one day!” Kirsten said.

On the other hand, Rob himself finds it hard to believe that he could get so deeply involved in his character.

New Delhi, Apr. 14 : Four festivals – Bihu, Naba Barsh, Puthandu Pirappu and Vishu – are being celebrated today in different parts of the country.

President Pratibha Patil has greeted the nation on the occasion.

"On the auspicious occasion of Rongali Bihu, Naba Barsh, Puthandu Pirappu, and Vishu, I extend my greetings and good wishes to all my countrymen," she said.

"These festivals celebrated in different parts of the country, denote the underlying unity of our rich and diverse culture and strengthen the pluralistic heritage of the nation. May the festivals bring peace, happiness and prosperity to all," she added.

New Delhi, Apr 14 : Campaigning for first phase of Lok Sabha elections will come to an end this evening.

The polling will be held on Thursday.

In the first phase, the election will be held for 124 seats in seventeen states and union territories.

The states going to the polls in this phase include Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and some seats in Orissa in the east, Jammu and Kashmir, 16 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 13 in Bihar, 6 in Jharkhand in north India, 13 seats in Maharashtra and Chattisgarh in the west and Andhra Pradesh, Kerala Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep in the south.

New Delhi, Apr 14 : The nation on Tuesday paid rich tribute to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 118th birth anniversary.

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate L K Advani came together at a function and paid homage to Ambedkar.

Several functions are being organised in different parts of the country to mark the occasion.

Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was an Indian jurist, scholar, Bahujan political leader and a Buddhist revivalist.

Ambedkar spent his life fighting untouchability and the Indian caste system.
