London, January 21 : Rapper 50 Cent is working on an expansion plan with a view to including a film production company in his multimedia empire.
The singer, whose real name Curtis Jackson, has already launched moviemaking firm Cheetah Vision.
He is currently promoting the new venture at top U. S. independent film festival Sundance.
His production company is said to have secured the movie rights to eight scripts including The Dance, which will co-starring himself and actor Nicolas Cage.
London - Two of Britain's biggest customer-owned banks are to merge to create a new business in a streamlining effort resulting from the credit crunch, it was announced Wednesday.
Co-operative Financial Services (CFS) and Britannia building society said they agreed a deal that would create a business with assets of 70 billion pounds (97 billion dollars), 9 million customers and more than 12,000 employees at 300 branches.
The new business would provide a "unique, ethical alternative to shareholder - and government - owned banks," a joint statement said.
Both businesses have been active in the mortgage and personal and corporate lending markets, and the merged firm would look to expand lending, the statement said.

London - British investigators were Wednesday set to question 15 members of a South African Airways (SAA) crew after large amounts of drugs were found in luggage aboard a plane at London's Heathrow airport.
The arrests of 10 women and five men from the flight and cabin crew were made Tuesday after the plane touched down in London from Johannesburg.
Customs authorities at the airport said Wednesday 50 kilograms of cannabis, estimated to be worth 150,000 pounds (208,000 dollars), and four kilograms of cocaine worth
160,000 pounds were found in baggage.
