London, Feb 6 : Hollywood actors Renee Zellweger and James Franco have been honoured with the title of 2009 Woman and Man of the Year at the Harvard University''s Hasty Pudding Theatrical Society.

While the Bridget Jones''s Diary was honoured with the title on February 5, actor Franco will receive the gong on February 13, reports Daily Express,

Zellweger led the parade through Harvard Square to the ceremony at the university''s New College Theatre.

The society picks a famous actor and actress to receive the gong every year, and usually treats the recipients to a celebratory ''roast'' when they dish out the trophies.

London - The police, the army and emergency services were called in to rescue some 200 people trapped in their cars on roads in south-west Britain after heavy overnight snowstorms, the authorities said.

Heavy snowfalls hit the Devon and Somerset region in south-west England late Thursday, leading cars getting stuck in sudden heavy snowfalls on the A38 dual carriageway near the city of Exeter.

Reporters said cars were seen "skidding all over the place" and initially it had been difficult for rescue teams to approach the scene.

But eventually some 200 people were rescued from their vehicles and given shelter in town halls and in buildings on a race course, where they were cared for with "lots of tea and toast."

London - Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has taken the unusual step of cancelling a state visit scheduled for next month amid reports of concern over the health of her 87-year-old husband, Prince Philip, it was reported Friday.

However, Buckingham Palace, while confirming a cancellation, insisted that the trip, to an undisclosed destination, had not been called off for health reasons, but due to "other commitments."

Earlier this week Prince Philip missed his third engagement in eight days after hurting his back while carriage driving, the palace said earlier.

The two had performed a duet together at the Grammy Awards back in 2001, and insiders claim they have reunited to record a track on Relapse, the rapper''s first new album in five years.

Rumours about the two collaborating on an album began to circulate from Eminem''s native Detroit, Michigan last October, after John visited the city while recording for the album was being done.

London - British Airways (BA) Friday reported a pre-tax loss of 70 million pounds (100 million dollars) in the nine months to 31 December, compared with a profit of 816 million pounds in the same period in 2007.

BA said Friday that the decline in the value of the pound and the airline's high costs in dollars added to pressures of last summer's steep oil price rise.

"The industry continues to face very difficult trading conditions on the back of a weak economic environment," the airline said.
