New Delhi, Apr. 12 (ANI): A distant relative of former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf is also in the electoral fray from the Lucknow Parliamentary constituency.

President of the 75 year old women organization Bazm-e-Khawateen, Shehnaz Sidrat has filed her nomination from Lucknow, the political citadel of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Sidrat claims she belongs to the family of a famous Congress leader late Hayatullah Ansari.

According to her, Ansari's wife Sultana Hayat was a cousin of Musharraf's father Syed Musharrafuddin.

Nissan Motor Company, a multinational auto manufacturer, has big plans for India.

The Japanese company aims to launch 4-5 models by the next four years
out of which the first car would roll out before summer 2010.

Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, Nissan Motor India's Managing Director and CEO,
said, “We propose to launch four to five models over the next four-five
years in the Indian market. Our first car is scheduled for launch by
summer 2010.”

Khunti (Jharkhand), Apr 11 : Five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed in an encounter with the naxals here.

The incident took place hours before Congress President Sonia Gandhi held a poll rally in the district.

According to sources, five personnel were killed while three others injured during the four-hour encounter.

The CRPF personnel conducted a search operation following inputs of naxal presence in the area. They came under heavy gunfire as soon as they entered the forests.

Ahmedabad, Apr 11 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday launched `referendum' to seek people's view about getting back the black money stashed by Indians in illegal accounts abroad.

The results of the two-day referendum, which is being carried out on the instructions of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, would be made public later.

Pune, Apr 11 : Maharashtra police on Saturday arrested a sharp-shooter of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Asif Mohammad Shaikh alias Asif Dadhi, an alleged associate of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has been sent to a two-day police custody.

Many cases of murder, attempt to murder and ransom have been registered against Dadhi.
