ICC Chief Executives’ Committee to meet in Cape Town next week

Dubai, Dec. 5 : The ICC Chief Executives’ Committee (CEC) will convene in Cape Town on Sunday for one of its four meetings per year.

The two-day gathering, held at the Westin Grand Hotel on December 7 and 8, will make decisions on a range of matters relating to the playing of cricket as well as recommendations on the business of cricket for consideration by the ICC Board’s January meeting.

A media conference will be held at the conclusion of business on December 8, also at the Westin Grand Hotel, and details of the timing and exact location of that conference will be announced in due course.

ICC confirms process for selection of venues for ICC World Twenty20 2010

International Cricket CouncilDubai, Dec. 4 : The International Cricket Council (ICC) today confirmed details of the process for the selection of venues for the ICC World Twenty20 2010 in the West Indies.

As per the host agreement, the West Indies Cricket Board has undertaken to recommend its preferred venues to the ICC. The ICC Board will consider the recommendation at its quarterly meeting that will take place in Perth, Australia on 31 January and 1 February.

The ICC Board will then make its decision based on those recommendations.
