Carcass of black bucks found in Agra’s Deer Park

Agra, Oct. 3 : Officials of the Agra District administration and Forest Department''s Wildlife wing have discovered more than a score of carcass, skeletons and remains of blackbucks on Wednesday (October 1).

These were found buried inside the Deer Park in the vicinity of the tomb of Mughal Emperor Akbar at Sikandara, on the outskirts of Agra city.

While investigations are on to ascertain if any foul play caused the death of these animals, the caretakers of the Deer Park remained tightlipped.

Muslims offer Eid prayers at Taj Mahal

In the wake of the recent blasts across the nation, security had been tightened in and around the Taj Mahal.

"Today we prayed for peace in the country. People who spread terror in the country are neither Hindu nor Muslims. They have no religion. So we prayed along with the chief cleric that terrorism should end in the country," said Sahirudeen Tahir, a devotee.

Eid-ul-Fitr signifies the end of the month-long fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

The huge amount of fake currency seized from the Domariaganj branch of State Bank of India has astonished the officials of RBI, Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate. The total amount seized has touched to Rs. 1.25-crore.

A formal complaint was filed by a Kanpur based RBI official, P.P. Singh. Some fake currency was also found from the currency chest of the Sanjay Place branch of the ICICI Bank in Agra. There were some notes of Rs. 500, seven notes of Rs. 100 and one Rs. 50 in the bank chest. ADG, Law and Order and STF, Brij Lal said that a complaint has registered by the RBI in the Kotwali police station in Agra after detection of fake currency.

Students of Queen Victoria College attended the first of such training camps here on Tuesday (July 29) when they were taught basic martial art skills by special trainers.

Visitors throng Taj Mahal to mark 353rd death anniversary of Shahjahan

Taj MahalAgra, July 31 : A large numbers of visitors thronged the famed Taj Mahal in Agra today to mark the 353rd death anniversary of Mughal Emperor Shahjahan.

The celebration which started on July 29 was concluded today with special prayers offered for communal harmony and to end terrorism.

A 400 metre long seven-coloured chadar (sheet) was laid on the graves of the Mughal emperor Shahjahan and his queen Mumtaz Mahal.
