RCOM launches India’s fastest wireless internet service @ Rs 299
Reliance Communications Limited, a part of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, has finally rolled out its CDMA wireless broadband service in the country under the name 'Reliance Netconnect Broardband Plus'.
With downlink speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps and uplink speeds of up to 1.8 Mbps, Reliance Communications' Netconnect Broadband Plus is offering 30% higher downlink rate in comparison to any other wireless broadband offering.
The company claims that, newly launched facility is India's fastest wireless internet service and best suited for video streaming, video surveillance, rich media content &superior Internet browsing.
The company will offer the service, starting from at a monthly subscription charge of Rs. 299. In addition, the company has introduced an Unlimited Night plan at Rs. 499 per month.
However, the company will charge Rs 3500 for USB modem, which have been supplied by ZTE and Huawei. The device will be available in two color variants of black and white.
Initially the service is rolled out in selected 35 cities on a fiber optic high speed 1x service network covering about
20,000 towns and 4.5 lakh villages across India.
The company is targeting a potential 15 million users (includes six million laptop users, 1 million 1X CDMA Datacard users and eight million home PC users) across India for its wireless broadband service.
The service, which has been launched in two Plug and Play USB device variants, will be available in 12,000 IT retail outlets across India as well as 2,300 exclusive Reliance Communications retail stores and nearly 240 Reliance World outlets.
