When actor Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha were all set to board their flight form Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad on Saturday, they were detained by the security officials, who found a revolver in the couple’s bag.

When the couple reached on the Saturday afternoon to board their flight for Chennai, and were undergoing the process of luggage scanning at the domestic luggage scanning, CISF personnel found a 38 revolver and five bullets in a suitcase belonging to them. The suitcase was immediately opened and revolver seized.

The actor Rajasekhar clarified that one of their maids or servants might have put the revolver by mistake in the suitcase while packing. He further explained that they had been carrying a weapon as a measure for protection since the time they were attacked by fans of Chiranjivi.

The couple who had to miss their flight was then taken to Shamshabad police station from the airport for questioning. On asking for the license, Rajasekhar told that he had it but left it at home. After when the license was produced, the weapon was returned. Luckily for the couple no case was registered against them.
