Rahul Bose Excited About His Performance in ‘The‘Japanese Wife'

Rahul Bose Excited About His Performance in ‘The‘Japanese Wife' Rahul Bose, ace Bollywood actor is very excited about his performance in Aparna Sen's The Japanese Wife.

'Japanese Wife' is about a Bengali village school teacher who has a pen pal in a Japanese village. To quote Bose, "I feel that The Japanese Wife has by far been my best performance. You keep all the other movies that I have done on one side and The Japanese Wife on the other side, it will still weigh heavier than the others. It happens only once in a life time that you unlock the key to the deepest lock in the character. It happens only by pure luck. I feel very lucky." The actor also very honestly admitted to having some regrets about doing films like 'Bombay Boys' and 'Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam'. Commenting upon his bad performances, Rahul said, "I feel I didn't do a good job in 'Maan Gaye, so I regret doing it. Same with 'Bombay Boys'. There are also a couple of scenes in 'Shaurya' of which I am ashamed. It is nonsense if anyone says that they have no regrets in life. I am not that kind of person who believes in the blame game. If I have not done a good job then how can I put blame on others?" About his latest release 'Dil Kabbadi', Rahul said, "I am satisfied with my performance in the film and I think the film is made in a witty way. It does not have much situational comedy as it is more dialogue based."

Rahul's debut venture in direction, The Moth Smoke, has been postponed indefinitely. Rahul stated, "There were three financiers who pulled back at the last moment due to the ongoing recession in the markets. I am still looking for financiers and will start shooting only when it happens."

Jajanese Wife also star Raima Sen and Mousumi Chatterjee
