It seems that the Queensland Health has come under scanner once again, this time for the way it managed to recover excess amount from the staff of Queensland Health, after its faulty payroll system mismanaged the entire Employee Overpayment Scheme last year.

As per reports, the online system witnessed thousands of Queensland Health employees being overpaid, underpaid or not paid at all over the past 15 months. Consequently, Queensland Health admitted its flaws and then, upgraded the system to resend fresh letters marked confidential to recover extra cost paid earlier.

Fumed with the way the letters were sent, Queensland Nurses Union branch Secretary Judy Matthews pressed the members to review the entire calculation being done by the department. “The payroll system has not stopped being a problem, and a lot of the nurses are not happy because they are still owed money by Queensland Health”, added Ms. Matthews.

Moreover, she appreciated with the way the nurses have managed their work against the ongoing payroll crisis. Responding to the allegations, Queensland Health Human Resources Deputy Director-General John Cairns welcomed all sorts of queries pertaining to their case with the health department.

Without wasting mush time, Queensland Premier Anna Bligh called Queensland Health's top bureaucrats into her office on Sunday to ensure that the health departments are sensitive enough to deal with this matter.
