Prince Philips succumbs to call of nature at royal shooting party
London, Nov 3 : Prince Philip, who has a long history of provoking embarrassing moments, found himself in another jiffy after getting caught short on a shooting party.
The 87-year-old royal was leading the party at Sandringham, the Queen’s Norfolk estate, when he undid his trousers and let nature take its course in full public view.
“It was an amazing sight. Those dark glasses didn’t fool anyone and he was caught red-handed with his finger on the trigger,” the Daily Star quoted a passer-by as saying.
“I guess you’ve got to go when you feel the urge – even if you’re a royal.
The Prince’s royal flash came as he stood in a field of stubble with beaters preparing to drive pheasants towards the guns.
“He put his shotgun down on the stool and just turned his back to the rest of the guns, undid his trousers and let nature take its course,” said one eyewitness.
“After he’d finished he noticed that just across the road there were loads of people looking at him. He picked up his shotgun with as much dignity as he could manage and walked off behind a hedge,” the eyewitness added. (ANI)
