Port Sultan Qaboos in Oman has revealed that it has inked a deal worth $ 3 million with Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery.

Under the deal, Port Sultan Qaboos scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply and install rubber-tyred gantry cranes and spare parts at the port.

The sources said that the upgrade, which is scheduled for delivery in Q1 of fiscal 2010, is aimed at improving throughput at the facility.
