BJP summons its Rajasthan leaders to Delhi

Vasundhara RajeNew Delhi, Dec. 12 : Central leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday summoned former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhare Raje and state unit chief Om Prakash Mathur to Delhi to sort out their differences prior to the 2009 general elections.

Party sources said BJP president Rajnath Singh and senior leaders L K Advani and M Venkaiah Naidu will counsel both Raje and Mathur to set aside their personal differences and work to ensure the party’s victory in the general elections.

"We are discussing with many parties, but there are only two alliances-one is NDA another is UPA," he said to reporters. But when asked about his talks with BJP, he indicated an alliance.

"There are many crossings in the way," he added.

Earlier BJP chief Rajnath Singh said that, the decision on the alliance with RLD will be announced soon. Sources in the RLD said the party wants to contest at least 10 seats in western Uttar Pradesh.
