Plaza Centers plans to build 50 commercial centres across India

International real estate developer Plaza Centers has revealed its plans to enter Indian market very soon. European retail companies will soon enter Indian retail sector and the demand for real estate in urban sector across India may pick up. Plaza Centers has already tied up with real estate developer Panchshil.
Plaza Centers is Europe's largest shopping mall developer.

The company has plans to build many malls in major cities of India. Plaza Centers has plans to invest nearly Rs 5,000 crore in India during next 5-7 years. The company will set up 50 shopping malls. The company is listed on London Stock Exchange and is seeking partnership with Indian real estate giants. The company is owned by Elbit Imaging Group. During last 10 years, the company has created 42 commercial centers and malls across nine countries in Europe.

Eli Mazor, MD Plaza Centers, said, "We are in talks with all the International retailers. It’s a matter of time before they come to India. We are already working with many in Europe and we will seek to extend that relationship in India."

In an official statement, Ibraham (Rami) Goren, Executive Vice Chairman, Elbit Imaging Group, “Plaza Centers has created organized retail single-handedly in Eastern Europe after the collapse of communism. We have a consistent track record of success in some of the most difficult markets in the world.”
