London, Jan 24 : American actor Tom Cruise has nothing but praise for the way his wife Katie Holmes keeps their daughter Suri happy.

Insisting that Holmes has "extraordinary" talent as a mother, Cruise said that the way the actress had taken to motherhood was helping shape the little girl's friendly personality.

"She is such a happy girl and I think Kate is an extraordinary mother and very calm," the Daily Express quoted him as telling GMTV.

Cruise, 46, was at the premiere with his wife Katie Holmes, who wore a shimmering blue dress, and both spent almost an hour outside the cinema signing autographs and posing for photographs with fans.

The Hollywood co-production is based on the plot carried out on July 20, 1944, when the aristocratic German officer Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg tried to kill Hitler by placing explosives under his table.
