London, Mar 05 : Paula Abdul has been sued by a woman, who alleges that she fell on a broken pathway at the pop star's home.

The woman Jill Kohl alleges that a broken pathway at Abdul's home caused her to tumble, and fall during the filming of her former reality show `Hey Paula'.

According to the lawsuit filed in L. A. Superior Court, Jill contends that she fell because the driveway "was in a dangerous and defective condition," reports the Daily Express.

Washington, Feb 27 : American pop singer Paula Abdul has denied that she criticised co-judge Kara DioGuardi, who has newly joined American Idol.

The 46-year-old was reacting to recent reports suggesting that she did not think that the show worked well with four judges.

In her reply, DioGuardi said that she was "hurt" by the criticism.

Abdul has now said that she was not referring to only one person, and that her comment has been misconstrued.

Following her split from restaurant owner J. T. Torregiani last year, the twice-wed 46-year-old has been single, reports Contactmusic.

Abdul tells OK! magazine, "I tried marriage and it didn''t work too well for me, but I would very much like to find a soulmate.

"I look at couples like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and see what I would like to have: a beautiful lasting relationship that doesn''t require a piece of paper."

American pop singer Paula Abdul has insisted that adding a fourth judge on U. S. reality TV show American Idol has slowed down the show.

Abdul hit out at producers of the show after Kara DioGuardi joined her, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson on the judging panel last month for the eighth season of the hit series.

It was recently suggested that there was a feud going on after DioGuardi joined, but Abdul has denied it and revealed that they are actually old pals.

The pop princess admits that even if she tries not to sit with him, she end up next to him.

"He''s like my fungus, it''s great," Fox News quoted Abdul as telling Tarts.

"There is some fighting on the first show of course or it wouldn''t be Paula and Simon. I tried not sitting next to him but it didn''t work. I''ve switched seats many times but somehow I always have to end up next to him," she added.

Washington, Jan 24 : American Idol star Paula Abdul credits herself for inspiring modern pop stars like Rihanna and Beyonce Knowles.

The singer, who first tasted fame in the 1980s after selling over 23 million records worldwide, took a musical hiatus in 2000.

She subsequently relaunched her career as a judge on the hit TV talent show and returned to the pop charts in 2008.
