Following the victory over confidence motion in parliament the UPA government will go ahead with economic reforms in the country. This is, categorically, said by union finance minister P Chidambaram said on Tuesday. The government has absolute majority of 272 in the parliament and left parties are not there to pull the legs of government.
Chidambaram hoped that the growth rate of economy will remain at 7-8 percent in 2008-09 despite of inflation rate of 12 percent and ever growing prices of crude oil. He emphasized to adopt Chinese growth model to make India super power.
