Police registered an FIR against BJP MP and former cricketer Navjyot Singh Sidhu for purportedly inciting religious feelings of the people through his speech at Kareli in Madhya Pradesh on November 11.
"Sidhu had on November 11, while delivering a poll speech at Kareli, had allegedly told the gathering that if they would vote for BJS then it amounts to a sin comparable to eating beef," A Sai Manohar, Superintendent of Police (Narsinghpur) said.
