Washington, Mar 21 : Hollywood actress Natasha Richardson will be buried near her Millbrook Dutchess County home in New York in a private ceremony on March 22.

The 45-year-old actress passed away on March 18 after suffering a traumatic brain injury while learning to ski in Montreal, Canada.

Richardson's husband Liam Neeson along with their two sons, family and close friends like Matthew Modine and moviemaker Mike Nichols gathered for a wake at the American Irish Historical Society, reports Contactmusic.

New York, Mar 21: British actress Vanessa Redgrave sang to her late daughter actress Natasha Richardson moments before she passed away.

Redgrave, 72, stroked Richardson’s face and sang a sweet lullaby from ‘The Sound of Music’ for her daughter, as she stood beside her bed with her son-in-law, actor Liam Neeson.

London, March 21 : Natasha Richardson, who died in a skiing accident in Canada, had reportedly refused to wear a 6-pound rented helmet, which could have averted the tragedy.

The Oscar-winning actress had met with an accident and suffered a head injury during a private ski lesson at Mont Tremblant resort on March 16.

The 45-year-old had initially showed no signs of injury but later complained of a headache, and was admitted to the Hospitalier Laurentien.

Washington, Mar 20 : Legendary actress Dame Helen Mirren has expressed her grief over Natasha Richardson's death.

"Natasha was a great actress, a fantastic mother, a loving wife and a whirlwind of energy, with an infectious love of life expressed firstly by her wonderful deep laugh," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"Anyone who knew her will be in mourning today. I hope that Liam and her sons are helped in their pain by the great love and sympathy that is coming to them from people all over the world," she added.

Washington, Mar 20 : Shocked by fellow actress Natasha Richardson's death, Hollywood actress Jodie Foster has revealed that she will always remember her for her brilliance, talent and funny side.

Jodie revealed that Natasha was a woman who "loved fiercely".

"Natasha was brilliant, beautiful, funny, talented beyond measure, as emotionally raw as she was razor sharp," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
