Indo-US nuke deal needs to be resolved soon: National Security AdviserNew Delhi, Mar 26 : National Security Adviser MK Narayanan today said that the absence of political consensus on the Indo-US civil nuclear deal in the country is a major handicap and this needs to be resolved as soon as possible.

He said due to this impasse the deal has been put on hold for the present. He was delivering the 25th Air Marshal P C Lal Memorial lecture in New Delhi.

Narayanan said that IAEA safeguard agreement and exemptions from nuclear supplier group are tied up.

No change in attitude of ISI, attacks likely to continue: MK NarayananNew Delhi, Mar 26: National Security Adviser MK Narayanan on Wednesday said that the gravest threat is from militant camp set up along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, and termed it as the epicentre of terrorism.

While delivering the ’25th Air Chief Marshal PC Lal Memorial Lecture’ in New Delhi, Narayanan said: "We have seen no change in the attitude of ISI, the mentor of Lashkar-e-Tayyeba and Jaish-e-Mohammad, and the attacks on India from Pakistan is likely to continue."

M.K. Narayanan New Delhi, Mar 26: National Security Adviser MK Narayanan today said that India would ensure proper security for Olympic torch during its relay here.

He further said that India sees Tibet as integral part of China, and added that all possible arrangements will be made to ensure that Olympic flames comes to India.

China is worried about safety of upcoming Olympic torch relay through India, which will arrive here on April 17 and has sought foolproof protection for it after security was breached at its Embassy in New Delhi on March 21 by Tibetan protesters.

Narayanan expresses concern over situation in Pakistan

Thiruvananthapuram, M K NarayananDec 29 : National Security Advisor M K Narayanan today expressed concern over the impact of events in Pakistan on the security situation in the sub-continent.

He said that both India and Pakistan faced a common threat from terrorism.
“Therefore, as it increases it is a matter of great consequence," noted Narayanan.

Narayanan was speaking on the sidelines of Sri Chitra Thirunal Memorial Award function, where he received an award.
