Raipur, Aug 27: Senior BJP leader LK Advani has said that Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has assured him that his government would not bow down to separatist forces in solving the controversial Amarnath Shrine Board issue.
He said that the dispute over the Amarnath had turned out to be a standoff between separatists and nationalists.
New Delhi, July 21: Criticising the UPA Government on the Indo-US nuclear deal and inflation, Opposition leader L K Advani today said that the UPA itself was responsible for its plight.
Speaking on the first day of a two-day special session of Parliament, he even went on to compare it to a patient in the ICU.
Opposing the confidence motion give by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, he said the Indo-US nuclear deal seemed to be between two individuals rather than two countries.
New Delhi, July 4 : Bharatiya Janata Party's Prime Ministerial candidate L. K. Advani is all set to launch election campaign for the Lok Sabha due in the normal course for May 2009.
Advani would launch the campaign in his constituency in Gujarat on July 6.
Advani, a five term Lok Sabha member has been associated with Gandhinagar since 1989.
The candidature of the leader of the opposition was announced in the first list of six candidates released by the party last week.
