New Delhi, Feb 12 : Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major has said that the Indian Air Forec will see the arrival of AWACS (airborne early warning and control system) by the end or February or early March.

India will induct the Phalcon airborne early warning and control system into its air force squadron, which will help it to monitor military build-up and aircraft movement nearly hundreds of kilometres inside Pakistan. The Israeli-built system will be mounted on a Russian-built IL-76 transport aircraft.

Bangalore, Feb 13 : Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major, has said that the current security scenario calls for the increased use of unmanned aerial vehicles with better combat facilities.

Air Marshal Major said the Air Force is in the process of upgrading its combating edge.

Bangalore, Feb 12: Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major has defended his pilots and ruled out their involvement in a near collision involving two aircraft at Mumbai airport.

Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major told reporters here on Wednesday that the Air Force pilots were not at fault as they had got clearance to land from Air Traffic Control (ATC).
