New Delhi [India], Feb. 3 : Post the release of their trailer, 'Badri' Varun Dhawan and his 'Dulhania' Alia Bhatt have been showered with immense love from all corners and now the two have another reason to celebrate as the trailer has received five million views in less than 12 hours.

The duo, who released the first look of 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' amid much fanfare and in the presence of their mentor Karan Johar in Mumbai, took to their respective Twitter handles to share their excitement.

The bubbly actress wrote, "5 million views in 12 hours!!!!! #BKDPMtoAM madness :) #BadrinathKiDulhania @Varun_dvn @karanjohar @ShashankKhaitan"

The 'Dishoom' star, on the other hand, is grateful for all the love.

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan have recently wrapped up the second schedule of their upcoming flick, directed by Shashank Khaitan.

The 23-year-old actress this morning took to her Twitter handle to share the news, saying, "AND it's wrappp on the 2nd sched #BadrinathKiDulhaniya... Here's to the madness, the 7 wonders and the food @Varun_dvn @ShashankKhaitan."

This movie will be a hat-trick for the pair, who stepped into Bollywood with 'Student of the Year' in 2012.

"The film is a complete filmy love story," Alia Bhatt told reporters at the launch function.

Also, the film is tribute to "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ) and Karan, who had a small part in the 1995 blockbuster as Shah Rukh Khan's character's fan and also assisted director Aditya Chopra, says every filmmaker wants to have at least one frame of DDLJ in their film.

While it made Rs. 12.42 crore on its opening day April 18, "2 States" managed a business of Rs. 12.13 crore and Rs. 13.51 crore on the next two days, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Alia-BhattMumbai, April 9 : Actress Alia Bhatt says her father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is possessive about her, but adds that he has taken her on-screen kissing with Arjun Kapoor in the forthcoming film "2 States" practically.

"Like every father, who don't want their daughters to get married, even my father is the same," Alia said in a group interview.

"Recently, my father told us (Alia and her sister Shaheen) you all can't go anywhere, I will lock you up in a room.  He is honest and blunt about the fact that he doesn't want us to get married.

Alia just a fan of Ranbir Kapoor

Alia-BhatMumbai, April 8 : Actress Alia Bhatt, who recently shocked many by confessing on a chat show that she wants to marry actor Ranbir Kapoor, says she didn't literally mean it and is just his fan.

She and actress Parineeti Chopra recently appeared on the final episode of "Koffee With Karan 4", hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar.

"Firstly, being in this industry if I want to marry someone, I will never say it on the national television, especially on 'Koffee With Karan'. So, I just said it in jest, I am a fan girl at the end of the day," the 21-year-old said here Monday at the launch of the new cover of the book "2 States".

Would love to work with Shahid in future: Alia Bhatt

Alia-BhattMumbai, April 8 : Actress Alia Bhatt chose to remain silent when asked to confirm whether she is working with Shahid Kapoor in Vikas Bahl's next project "Shaandaar" and says that she would love to work with the actor in future.

When asked if she was paired opposite Shahid in "Shaandaar", she said: "... Shahid is a fantastic actor and a dancer. He is one of the best dancers we have.. I would love to work with him in future."

The film is slated to go on the floors in August.

"I do not have a Facebook page! All pages being handled are fake. Please do not follow," Alia posted Saturday.

Her elder step sister Pooja also made the message about Alia's fake accounts clear to her 'followers' on Twitter.

"Someone running Alia's FAKE 'verified page' quotes her as thanking a N. K. Productions Ltd for managing her account. Do the math folks!

Alia-BhattLondon, February 21 : Alia Bhatt has revealed that she feared being stereotyped after her debut film and believes that 'Highway' was a blessing in disguise.

The 20-year-old daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt said that after her debut film ' Student Of The Year', where she played a "baby-doll, diva character", she felt that she would be stereotyped and wanted to break away from that image, which prompted her to take up ' Highway', Metro. co. uk reported.

She added that though she loved the role of Shanaya Singhania in her first film, she doesn't want to be attached to one particular genre. (ANI)

Alia-BhattMumbai, Feb 13 : Alia Bhatt is busy promoting "Highway" these days, but she is equally upbeat about her other film "2 States". The actress loves the Chetan Bhagat book that the movie is based on.

"I had read '2 States' even before the book was getting made into a film... It's a beautiful book," Alia said.

"2 States: The Story of My Marriage", which hit the stands in 2009, is the story of a Punjabi guy and Tamil girl.

Alia plays the south Indian girl.

"It helped me to connect with the person within me. My father always said the day an actor finds oneness with the person within is the day he or she becomes a true actor. I think I found that person during 'Highway'. I don't know how much it helped me to grow as an actor, but the film got me to know things about myself that I didn't know," said Alia.

Alia hopes to work with Imtiaz again

"The film was supposed to release earlier, but it got pushed. I told Imtiaz sir that we have time and let's shoot it again, we can do it. So, if I could work with Imtiaz sir once again, probably 'Highway' sequel," the 20-year-old said here Monday at the first look launch of "Highway".

Alia says she wants to do the film's shooting all over again.

"Today also I want to go back to the first day of shoot and I want to do it again," she said.

Alia Bhatt would love to have her fashion brand

Alia-BhattNew Delhi, Oct 10 : In spite of barely being a film old, actress Alia Bhatt seems to have found her place in filmdom. Now, the "Student of The Year" actress dreams of having her own accessories and clothes brand one day.

"Having your own brand requires a lot of guts. I would love to do it someday... launch my own accessories or clothes brand," she Alia IANS in a telephonic interview from Mumbai.

She said that her own brand value has to be that accessible for her fashion label to work. "I will work on it every time I get an opportunity," she added.

Alia loves Christmas festivities

"My favourite festival is Christmas because I get a lot of presents," the 20-year-old said here at the launch of a new range of nail paints by Maybelline.

"Colour of the season is red and I wear this red Santa hat and a nice red dress with black or red shoes," she added.
