People give Mix Response to Mistake of Mom Who Left Kid In Shopping Cart
Cherish Peterson, 27 from Gilbert, Arizona, who was rushing around a Fry's grocery store on Monday, buying sweets for nephew's birthday, left her two-month-old baby boy Huxton in the shopping Cart. Now response of people on social media about this mistake of the mother was quite extraordinary.
Peterson who left her baby in a shopping trolley by mistake has insisted that she is a good mother. She said she was rushing around at the store buying sweets for nephew’s birthday when the incident occurred.
She had three of her four young children were with her when she left the store. But she mistakenly forgot her two-month-old baby boy Huxton in the shopping cart when she left the cart at the front of the shopping mall.
The baby was later spotted by a Phoenix police officer who took him to a nearby Supercuts salon while they searched for his parents.
Peterson said when she reached home she realized what she has done. She said as she was parking her car into the garage, her three-year-old said where is Huxton?
Peterson in an emotional interview with CBS 5 she admitted her mistake saying, “I'm a good mom who made a horrible mistake. I got into my car, and normally I put my cart away. But I didn't need to because I parked at the front of the store and I never park there. And I drove away”.
Peterson’s story has divided opinion on social media with members of the public blamed her for being a ‘bad mom who must have been drunk’, some other have expressed their support for her.
