PCB announces squad for New Zealand series

pakistan-cricket-boardThe Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has today announced their squad for ODI, T20 and test matches series against New Zealand starting from 3rd November in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The former ICL player Imran Farhat, Mohammad Asif, Abdul Razzaq, Salman Butt and Khalid Latif are included in the squad while Misbah-ul-Haq has been rested for the series.

Farhat had not played any test match from 2007 as he was banned from the international cricket after joining the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL). Farhat has now ended his contract with ICL, as a result he is set to make comeback in the international cricket.

Youins Khan will lead the Pakistan squad in ODI and test matches as the PCB had rejected his resignation. Younis had offered to resign after he was blamed for fixing matches against Australia and New Zealand in ICC Champions Trophy last month.

United Arab Emirates will host three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 games between Pakistan and New Zealand while three-test matches series will be held in New Zealand.
