Thursday saw Indian software services firm Patni Computer Systems Ltd expressing its hope of signing deals worth $150-$200 million in the next 4-6 weeks.

Surjeet Singh, Chief Financial Officer, specified, "We are close to signing some large transactions in the company's history over the next 4-6 weeks and that gives us enough optimism to look beyond quarter one."

He added that the kind of deals they are expecting will be in the upwards of $150-$200 million transactions on a multi-year basis.

Apart from this, the company is also looking at deals in the array of $200-$250 million both on the geographical expansion side, along with constructing the scale on the BPO and ERP side.

Shares of the company traded at marginal 0.05 percent up at 472 rupees in a firm Mumbai market.
