Panasonic announces its latest Toughbook H1 mobile clinical assistant
Recently, Panasonic announced its latest Toughbook H1 that has been specially developed for health environments. Basically the low power Intel Atom processor is incorporated by this rugged mobile clinical assistant (MCA). The latest Panasonic Toughbok H1 aims at redefining performance and functionality for the MCA category via offering six long hours of battery life, dual hot swappable batteries, screen that can be viewed in daylight and integrated Gobi technology.
Other exciting features include 1GB standard RAM configuration, 80 GB 1.8-inch shock mounted hard drive, 10.4? XGA sunlight viewable 500 NIT dual touch LCD screen, MIL-STD-810F and IP54 compliance, magnesium alloy chassis, Bluetooth(R) v2.0 + EDR, integrated docking connector, GPS receiver and Intel WiFi Link 5100
802.11a/b/g/draft-n. Panasonic Toughbokk H1 is also rain, spill, dust and vibration resistant.
The device aims at reducing load on working doctors and nurses by enhancing workflow. It thus makes its quite easy and simple to study documents and condition of the patient whenever needed.
RFID reader, 2.0 megapixel auto-focus camera with dual LED lights, a barcode reader, contactless smart card reader and fingerprint readers, are also equipped in the Toughbook H1 MCA.
By January 2009, the Panasonic Toughbook H1 is expected to be available worldwide, with a price tag for the base model of Rs 1, 41,943 from authorized Panasonic retailers and distributors. Initially it will be launched in in the U. S. market.
