Washington, Nov. 11 : Losing Republican vice-presidential candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who could seek re-election in 2010 or potentially run for president in 2012, has said that her future plans are in God’s hands.

"Putting my life in my creator''s hands -- this is what I always do," Fox News quoted her as saying.

"I''m like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I''m like, don''t let me miss the open door ... And if there is an open door in ''12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I''ll plow through that door," she added.

Palin also defended herself against criticism stemming from the tens of thousands of dollars spent on her wardrobe as well as several reported missteps on foreign affairs.

"When I arrived at the convention, there were clothes waiting for me, and clothes being ordered for me and the family, for eight of us," the Alaska governor told FOX News''

She said that she was quite baffled by the controversy surrounding her wardrobe, even after they had been “boxed up and sent back to the rightful owners, the Republican National Committee.”

Attorneys for the Republican National Committee are still trying to determine exactly what clothing was bought for Palin and exactly what has been returned.

Palin dismissed the controversy over the reported 150, 000 dollar bill as "irrelevant."

"It just seems like such an irrelevant issue when you consider what is going on in the world today and how a new administration is being ushered in and people being concerned about the direction of the nation and policies that will be adopted," Palin said.

Palin''s father, Chuck Heath, however, said that his daughter spent part of the weekend going through her clothing to determine what belongs to the Republican Party. (ANI)
