Pakistan was not involved in Mumbai attacks, says Zardari

Pakistan was not involved in Mumbai attacks, says ZardariWashington, Dec 3 : Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan is not responsible for last week''s Mumbai attacks.

""The state of Pakistan is in no way responsible. Even the White House and the American CIA have said that today. We''re part of the victims. I''m a victim. The state of Pakistan is a victim. We are the victims of this war. I am sorry for the Indians," The News quoted Zardari telling US talk show host Larry King.

He also said that the arrested person does not have Pakistani nationality and it was wrong to put the blame on Pakistan.

Indian officials have publicly blamed Pakistani militants for the attacks, and called on Pakistan to hand over a group of wanted militant leaders suspected of plotting them.

"I think these are stateless actors who have been operating all throughout the region," he added.

He confirmed he is willing to have Pakistani security officials participate with India in a joint investigation.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has already proposed a joint investigation into the attacks. (ANI)
