They called upon the lawyers and the people of Pakistan to observe Negroponte’s arrival in the country as a ‘black day’.

Sindh Bar Council member Sadiq Hidayatullah reportedly told media persons that the purpose of his trip was to “exert pressure on political parties, the government and other stakeholders in the matters of the judiciary”, Pakistan’s internal security etc., which he termed an intervention into Pakistan’s internal affairs.

The Americans desist from such interventions as Pakistanis were able to make their own decisions and he warned the US government that undue intervention will cause harm to their interests in the region, the Daily Times quoted Hidayatullah as saying at a press conference. (ANI)
