Oprah Winfrey pairs up with HBO to develop original films, miniseries
Washington, Dec 17 : Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has inked a new deal to develop movies with cable network HBO.
Winfrey will be moving her production company Harpo Films to HBO in a three-year deal to make movies, documentaries and TV Series.
Kate Forte, head of Winfrey's Harpo Films, revealed that the company is excited about the deal, reports Contactmusic.
ABC, which has been working with Harpo Films for the last 15 years, wanted to extend the deal but Harpo Films found HBO to be more appropriate.
No details of projects in the multiyear exclusive deal were released.
Winfrey, 54, was named the most powerful woman in entertainment earlier this month by trade paper The Hollywood Reporter. (ANI)
