OPEC oil price rises by nearly 2 dollars
Vienna- The price for crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) climbed by 1.92 dollars Monday, the first rise since the middle of the month.
One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC crude stood at 44.48 dollars Monday, up from 42.56 dollars at the end of last week, the cartel reported Tuesday.
The Vienna-based organization calculates an average price based on 13 important brands produced by its members. (dpa)
