Vienna - The price for oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) gained 1.32 dollars at the end of last week, the cartel said Monday.

One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC-produced crude stood at 42.17 dollars Friday, up from 40.85 dollars on the previous day.

The Vienna-based organization calculates an average price based on 12 brands produced by its members. (dpa)
