Nuclear Safety Bill Approved in Lok Sabha

Recently, one more important bill was sanctioned in the House of Common’s (Lokh Sabha). This time, the bill was related to assurance of nuclear radiation safety.

Along with Lok Sabha members, a legal authority and regulatory bodies too gave their approval to the bill because all of them believed that the country’s nuclear safety assurance was the need of the hour.

The Nuclear Safety Regulatory Authority Bill 2011 was introduced by V. Narayanasamy, who is designated as the Minister of State.

In the meantime, giving a brief detail about the bill’s significance the minister asserted that the Bill certainly would be aiming to achieve the uppermost standards in the nuclear safety based on scientific advancements, so that the country would become competent enough to operate the practiced and best performances followed by the nuclear industry.

Meanwhile, talking about the bill’s main goals, he explained that the bill would definitely make sure that the utilization of radiation and the atomic energy in all applications is protected for the health of personnel in the public nuclear firms and also including the environment issues.

On the other hand, the reports further asserted that the law could also control the production, guardianship, transportation, removable, sale, export, import, utilization and removal of any radioactive materials.
