Dole issues a recall on bagged spinach in 13 states

Food Company Dole issued a recall on bagged spinach in 13 states in the Midwest, South, and on the East Coast on Wednesday morning. As per the Food & Drug Administration, the recall has been issued after a sample of the spinach was tested positive for salmonella.

In case you have recently purchased spinach from Dole and are worried that the recall might affect you, all you need to do is check the bag product code, present on the top right corner of the package, and see if it is either A27409B or A27409A or not.

The likely infected product has an ‘Enjoy By’ date of October 15. Its UPC number is 7143000976. The UPC code is present on the back under the bar code. Precaution is better than cure, so you must go through the bag closely before enjoying spinach.

Starting physical therapy soon after lower back pain begins improves condition of patient

After following more than 200 patients having lower back pain issue for a year, researchers concluded that taking physical therapy soon after lower back pain starts may help provide the relief soon in comparison to taking no step and provides less effect when help is taken later.

The researchers randomly assigned participants to receive either physical therapy or no treatment for four weeks. Physical therapy provided more improvement in disability in comparison to other people in the study. It shall also be noted that there was not much difference between the groups after a year.

Study’s lead researcher Julie Fritz, associate dean for research at the College of Health at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, said there are no quick fixes for treating back pain.

No link between sitting for long periods of time and increased risk of death

A new study assures that there is no link between sitting for long hours and increased risk of death. Generally, previous researches have mostly negative to say about effects associated with sitting for long hours.

In the study carried out by researchers from University of Exeter and University College London, data worth of 16 years having information of more than 5,000 people was assessed. As a part of the study, the researchers had to note down the total time period for which they were sitting, which will also include sitting at work, watching television, leisure time and non-television leisure time.

Remains of at least three new baby Saurolophus angustirostris fossils found

Scientists have uncovered a group of baby duck-billed dinosaurs from a slab of rock in a part of Mongolia that is quite fossil-rich, known as Dragon's Tomb. The remains were found near the fragments of eggshell indicating that the dinosaur babies were in the earliest stages of development.

As per the researchers, these fossils belonged to a group known as Saurolophus angustirostris. It is being considered that all of these creatures were from the same nest.

For now, the researchers are not sure about the fact that whether the creatures were still in the eggs or died just after they hatched. But the researchers are sure of one thing that they were dead and partly decomposed when they were buried.
