There are many researchers who claim that origin of dogs can be traced to Europe. They also believe that gray wolves are the ancestors of ‘man’s best friend’. But a new study has suggested that all the previous claims are not true as dogs could have originated from Central Asia, as per report of the New York Times.

Researchers studied dogs from around the world and found that the animal could have originated in Central Asia. Laura M. Shannon and Adam R. Boyko from Cornell University, and an international team of researchers, studied more than 4,000 dogs of about 161 breeds. They also picked more than 500 dogs from villages in 38 countries. After the study, the researchers concluded that Central Asia is the place where dogs originated.

It will take at least 50 years to have ultimate sophisticated killer robots. But experts are worried of technologies being used in warfare known as autonomous weapons systems or killer robots. Experts said that many lives are lost due to them, and the figure will increase if there will be no human intervention.

Study researchers were surprised while doing a study that calcium, which is known to prevent cancer, was not helping in curbing the growth of colon polyps. As per the researchers, neither calcium nor vitamin D may curb the risk of colon cancer after colonoscopy has been performed.

Study’s lead researcher Dr. John Baron from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine said that it was no less than a shock to find that calcium and vitamin D have not worked in removing polyps.

The study was carried on around 2,260 people aged between 45 and 75 at 11 medical centers. Participants were asked to follow one of four regimens including 1,000 IU of vitamin D3; 1,200 mg of calcium; both of them and placebo.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) said in a statement that dry weather air outdoor and central heating allow the flu virus to survive and spread from one infected person to another.

A research conducted by NIH has shown that the flu virus becomes stronger in colder weather, which makes it easy for it to transmit to others. The researchers told that chances of spread of infection increases in those who majorly stay indoors.

Marcus Josey and Miss New Jersey became friends forever after Northeastern homecoming. Josey described his Saturday night as bizarre which included certain events like the limousine ride, the motorcycle escort and dance after dance with Miss New Jersey, his date for homecoming.

The Northeastern Senior High School student, Marcus Josey, who is combating leukemia, mentioned that when he found out that Miss New Jersey has accepted his requested to come and dance in school’s homecoming, he really got excited and felt better emotionally as well as physically.

Lindsey Giannini, Miss New Jersey, said the event was very special for her because she wasn’t able to attend her own school’s homecoming as she was busy performing community service work that night.
