IL&FS to go for public listing

IL&FS to go for public listingIL&FS Transportation is the latest one to have joined the race for public listing. And through this, the infrastructure company plans to raise Rs. 700 crore.

The price band of the IPO is expected to be in between Rs. 242 and Rs. 258 per share. It would be floating 14 per cent of its stake through the listing.

The IPO will be open for subscription from March 11 and will go on till March 15.

It has already filed its red-herring prospectus with the Registrar of Companies on March 4.

Rajya Sabha passes the historic Women’s Reservation bill

According to the Energy Department, this award will help these organizations to develop the next generation nuclear power reactor. The prize will definitely enhance firm's conceptual design and planning work for the advance reactor.

Westinghouse Electric Co. belongs to Toshiba Corporation while General Atomics is a privately held firm.

Npower cuts domestic tariff by 7%

npowerEnergy provider NPower announced a seven per cent cut in its gas prices for domestic consumers on Tuesday to become the fourth company in Britain to do so. The tariff reduction announced will applicable from March 26.

As per the company announcement, average annual gas bill would drop by nearly £50 post this cut. Chief Executive of Npower Retail Kevin Miles said that the company always aims at offering competitive tariffs and for the same the company decided to slash its gas price despite its bottom-line shrinking to almost half last year.
