Parrikar to meet Bangladesh leadership today to firm up defence co-operation agreement

Dhaka [Bangladesh], Dec. 1 : Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will on Thursday hold talks with senior defence officials at Bangladesh Military Academy in Chittagong.

Later in the day, Parrikar is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who also holds the defence portfolio.

Parrikar, who is on a two-day visit to Bangladesh, is meeting top leadership to firm up an upgraded defence co-operation agreement, which is likely to be signed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during her visit to Delhi later this month.

The accompanying Vice Chiefs of Army and Air force and deputy Chief of Navy paid courtesy calls on the respective Service Chiefs of the Bangladesh Armed Forces.

The 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' and 'Tomorrow Never Dies' actress will play a character named Han Bo and will be the leader of another ship named the 'Shenzhou' in the show's first season.

The new show will be set at least a decade before the original series, which followed the exploits of Captain Kirk.

Michelle will never will run for White House, says Obama

Washington [United States), Nov.30 : Outgoing U.S. President Barack Obama has said that his wife and U.S. First Lady Michelle will not run for White House.

"Michelle will never run for office," the president had said in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine done the day after Donald Trump's surprise win.

Menstrual cycle doesn't impact training, performance: Study

Washington D.C. [USA], Nov.30 : A recent study, published in the Journal of Physiology, has found that doing fixed intensity exercise during menstrual cycle does not affect a woman's autonomic heat responses (skin blood flow and sweating).

That's according to a collaboration between Massey University, the University at Buffalo and the University of Otago. They also found that exercise performance was impaired by humid heat due to the reduced ability of the body to sweat effectively.
