Global content distribution platform SHAREit strengthens India presence

Bengaluru/New Delhi [India], Nov.21 : With an aim to increase its presence in India, leading global content distribution platform SHAREit has announced the setting up of its India headquarters in Gurgaon.

It has also outlined an aggressive campus outreach program in the country. The company is also looking at an exhaustive hiring programme across the country.

The announcement was made at the first SHAREit campus meet held in Bengaluru where over 800 students and SHAREit enthusiasts participated in a day long program involving a series of interactive contests, quizzes, talk shows etc.

Drake bags his 1st American Music Awards

Washington D.C. [USA], Nov. 21 : The 2016 American Music Awards will always be an unforgettable evening for Drake.

The Canadian rapper, who got a leading 13 nominations, won his first ever AMAs on Sunday. He took home the awards for best rap/hip-hop artists and album for his best-selling 'Views'.

"I want to thank everybody that helped me make this album, especially 40, [Noel Cadastre], all the producers on the album. And of course, I want to thank the fans. And my parents, my dad is here tonight," said the 'One Dance' artist while collecting his award from 'Degrassi' co-star Nina Dobrev, reports E! Online.

"Thank you so much. It means a lot," he added.

No weight loss surgery for Blac Chyna post Baby Dream K's birth

Washington D.C [USA], Nov. 21 : No, Blac Chyna is in no mood to undergo weight loss surgery, after giving birth to her first child with beau Rob Kardashian- Dream Kardashian.

The topic started when the 'Rob & Chyna' star shocked her fans with a small waist snap on social media on Saturday, a week post delivery via C-section, reports E! Online.

This picture prompted many to speculate that she had undergone weight loss surgery. But, on Sunday, Chyna set the record straight.

"So I posted a picture of my belly yesterday and the only reason it got that flat, you guys, is from breastfeeding and breast pumping and from my body already being small before my pregnancy," Blac Chyna said in a Snapchat video while pumping breast milk.

Voges still has plenty to offer in Tests, believes Langer

Melbourne [Australia], Nov. 21 : Former Australian opening batsman Justin Langer has urged the national selectors not to sideline Adam Voges from the Test arena, saying the wicketkeeper-batsman can still play a vital role in the longer version of the game.

Following the humiliating defeat in the second match of the ongoing three-match series against South Africa, the embattled Australian team management has made extraordinary six changes for the third Test to be played in Adelaide.

37-year-old Voges was among the omissions, with the official line being he couldn't be considered because of his recent concussion.

However, Langer feels that the veteran has still plenty to offer to Australia in the Test arena.

Angela Merkel to run for fourth term as German Chancellor

Berlin [Germany], Nov. 21 : German Chancellor Angela Merkel has announced that she will run for a fourth term as chancellor in the next year's crucial national election.

Asserting the complex challenges she will face and "absurd" expectations Germany could take a world leadership role when Barack Obama leaves office, Merkel insisted that the decision was not easy for her to make.

"I have spent an unending amount of time contemplating this, as to stand as a candidate for a fourth time after 11 years in power is anything other than a trivial decision, neither for the country, for the party, nor for me," the Guardian quoted Merkel as saying in a press conference in Berlin on Sunday night.

Azhar Ali admits Pak's problem in facing short-pitched deliveries

Karachi [Pakistan], Nov. 21 : Pakistan batsman Azhar Ali has admitted that the team is having problems while facing short-pitched deliveries, saying they are working on their ability to handle short balls, but they require time to do that.

Pakistan on Sunday suffered an eight-wicket defeat against New Zealand in the first Test of the ongoing two-match series at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

"If you come to this part of the world, you do expect that [short-pitched deliveries].You expect teams from subcontinent to be tested with that short stuff and we all knew that. But as time goes on, we'll get better, and we're hopeful to turn things around quickly," Azhar was quoted as saying by Express Tribune.
