Financial services provider HSBC InvestDirect India has declared its fourth quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2009-10. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 27.50 lakh for the quarter that ended in 31st March, 2010. The company has managed to register a profit this time. There was an Rs 1.01 lakh of net loss in the fourth quarter last year.

This has been informed by the firm in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.

HSBC InvestDirect is formerly known as IL&FS Investment in India and owns 100% of the total paid up capital of HISL.

For the first time in Europe, the trail of Somali pirates has started in Netherlands. The group of five men have denied of any intention of hijacking the cargo ship in the Netherlands Antilles.

They have also said that they were on a normal fishing trip. They were sentenced up to 12 years of jail for this accusation.
