HSBC InvestDirect net profit at Rs 27.5 lakh

HSBC-InvestDirectFinancial services provider HSBC InvestDirect India has declared its fourth quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2009-10. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 27.50 lakh for the quarter that ended in 31st March, 2010. The company has managed to register a profit this time. There was an Rs 1.01 lakh of net loss in the fourth quarter last year.

This has been informed by the firm in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.

HSBC InvestDirect is formerly known as IL&FS Investment in India and owns 100% of the total paid up capital of HISL.

So far as the income from operations of the firm is concerned, it has declined to Rs 2.87 crore during the January-March period of fiscal year 2009-10. It was Rs 3.05 crore for the same quarter last year.

So there is a decline of 6.27% in this quarter against same quarter last year. The annual report for the company is not so impressive as well. It has posted a net loss of Rs 1.49 crore in this year. Last year the net loss was Rs 15.20 crore.
