Doting artist creates Lewis Hamilton’s portrait with 250k tiny dots of paper!
London , Oct 30 : A racing fanatic, from Manchester, has created a huge picture of Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton, which consists of 250,000 tiny dots of paper discarded from a hole punch.
Nikki Dowthwaite, 34, completed the 8ft by 5ft picture in 12 weeks.
She finished the picture just days before she hopes Hamilton will win the F1 championship at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Nikki came up with the technique after being inspired by the work of 19th century French painter Georges-Pierre Seurat.
“I was at the British Grand Prix just a couple of days before I graduated and that''s when I decided what I would do next,” The Sun quoted Dowthwaite, as saying.
"I am a massive Formula 1 fan and I have been since I was a little girl. And I''ve always supported McLaren,” she added.
At first glance the work looks just like a normal painting of the F1 driver, but as one moves closer to the picture the thousands of tiny dots of paper can be easily seen. (ANI)
