The King Khan has announced his new venture, a real estate development that will bear his signature style and will come up at Dana Island off the Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The property to be named as Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard, will cost around 8-billion dirham ($2.2-billion).

The real estate project encompassing three million square feet will have one and two bedroom apartments, a studio, underwater discotheque, a public square on the beach and a theatre. It will be designed by a renowned architect, Toni Ashai.

The Bollywood Actor who was elated at the project which is proposed to be completed by 2012 said, "Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard is my tribute to the love and affection shown by the people of the UAE to Indian cinema. I have lent my name to the project and I intend to share and transfer my passion for design and living spaces into this world class community that residents will be proud of."  

Shah Rukh who has been already associated with Nakheel, one of the top most real estate developers in UAE is much acquainted with the area as he also owns a house at posh Palm Jumeirah manmade island off the coast of the Dubai. However the actor came up with this venture via TSA International Investments, a leading real estate financial consultancy in the UAE who directed him for this project, it will be the very first time any Bollywood actor has resorted to develop a property.
